Learn and refine valuable speaking skills this summer with us! WHYSpeak Summer Speech Camp is run by forensics alumni coaches with national level competition experience. Through lectures, workshops, and activities, you'll learn to find your voice AND fine-tune your performance.

WHYSpeak Foundations & Finesse

Christa Lyford

Christa is a Stoa Speech and Debate league alumni. She qualified for and competed at the National Tournament of Champions in 2017 in four events: Parliamentary Debate, Original Oratory, Mars Hill Impromptu, and Dramatic Interpretation--in which she was a semi-finalist and took tenth in the nation. During her time as a student, she organized a Dramatic Interpretation-intensive group, and also worked as an Interp coach after graduating. With a background in theater and intercultural classroom experience, Christa is passionate about helping students find their voice. She's currently completing her Associates Degree in Speech Communication at Everett Community College.
